And venting to each other
Their conversation continued
With life’s purpose the theme
Why are we all here?
What does it all mean?
They debated good and bad
Hate and materialism they pondered
“Why is life now just about money
And selfishness?” they wondered
“What happened to the golden rule?
Or the act of selfless good deeds?”
Kindness seems to be a lost art
Replaced with envy and greed.
We’ve watched hate spawn more hate
We’ve watched fear rise above
But if negative can produce negative
Can’t love produce more love?
Talking more they soon realized
They might have stumbled on the key
Could life’s secret be to recognize
What we give we receive?
It seems to be so simple
Although proven in facts shown
In life you’ll obtain what you offer
States the law of attraction.
The concept is simple
Nothing to profound
What you send out to the world
With make it’s way back around.
So with this theory in hand
Our challenge had just begun
We must come up with a way
To show and prove this to everyone
So we started this site
With one notion in mind
To show you what can happen
With the simple act of being kind.
We’ve performed 1000 acts of kindness
And with each one give a text
That says “you’ve been hit with an act of kindness
Now pass it on to the next.”
When you receive an act of kindness
And to another you pass it on
We ask that you log your experience
